About

Ubisoft

« Pimp the Data » was an Ubisoft hackaton, an event of two days. This project’s goal was to analyze all the data collected during games in order to redistribute it to the player. We were few of our school to participate, and I teamed up with Julie Colliou from my class, JB, a project’s holder and Michael, a developper. We could pick between five games with their specific datasets. We selected the game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, a First Person-Shooter.

With the help of Ubisoft, we were able to determine that players want to put themselves forward, to get better but also to socialize. We proposed a functionality on the game interface that allows the player to visualize dynamically an history of all the players he played with, basically all his network, whether his friends with whom he plays often or unknown people. Then, it produces mini or bigger different networks depending of those characteristics.
